Tinted Windows Becoming a problem??
Written by GnomeFan on April 30, 2008 – 11:51 pm -
Well, the Malaysian government is at it again. Now, trying to implement stricter rules against cars that has windows that is too darkly tinted. Well, i’m kind of afraid of this rule since the 2 back windows of my cars is tinted TOTALLY black. You can’t even see a white man in there through it!
There are pro’s and con’s for using tinted windows and I think that the people that make up these decisions should consider each one and put a higher priority towards the Malaysian general’s needs. Not only catering this creation to a “certain few” of people that were given the right to put on tinted glass.
Here are some of the pro’s and con’s that i could think of.
PRO’s:
1. Malaysia is a hot country. So, putting on tinted windows can help to decrease the heat and reduce the UV rays that enter the car through the windows.
2. Some tints also help to increase the window’s integrity. It means that it’ll be a bit more difficult for the window to break either by natural causes of people trying to break in.
CON’s
1. You can’t even see the inside of a car if the tint value is so high (>60%) and this means that people could do anything inside the car without the outside world knowing. They could rape a person, kidnap and do other illegal and dangerous things.
2. It would decrease the viewing capability for the owner/driver of the car. This would also cause a problem and even worse, an accident.
Well, i personally think that the general public should be given the right to use tinted windows cause it brings a LITTLE bit more PRO’s to the table.
So, what do YOU think about allowing tinted windows to the general public??
P/S : wanna tint my windows XP. Can get summon for that ah??

Powerdropping 300 Entrecards under 30 minutes
Written by GnomeFan on April 26, 2008 – 6:52 pm -
Well, i discovered this simple way as i was searching ways, tips and tricks on how to drop entrecards faster, effectively and easily. There’s a few methods out there but i like this one alot because it’s easy and dont make you click links!! (credit to www.tysblog.com)
1. Download this .txt file that contain 300 entrecard powerdropper site. click HERE to download.
2. Using Firefox go to “bookmarks”, then “organize bookmarks”, then under “file” in the bookmark organizer widow select “import bookmarks”. Choose “from file” (not “internet explorer”) and select the “entrecard_bookmarks.txt” file you just saved from step one (or whatever you named it). All the sites are added to your bookmarks now.
3. Go to your bookmarks, select the new entercard sites folder, then RIGHT click group 1 and select “Open All In Tabs”.
4. Give your browser a few seconds to open all the pages and start going through them and droppin’ your card! I suggest going to the tabs that load fastest first. Should only take you a moment to go through all ten tabs. I also recommend you hit f11 on your keyboard to browse these sites in full screen mode. Can make finding the entrecards that are low on the screen easier to see.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4’till you’ve dropped your card 300 times! Easy - should only take about 20 minutes to do ‘em all!!!!
Hope that you guys try this and have great results.. I sure did!! Heh. Anyways, don’t forget to drop by my blog in the future on updates for this feature!! (credit to www.tysblog.com)

Written by GnomeFan on April 25, 2008 – 3:09 pm -
You must think that this is some kind of kid’s “the rabbit and the tortoise” story by reading the title right? well, it’s not. I’m really excited this past week since i got 2 new things to add into my life inventory.Heh
Firstly, i bought a new laptop. As i said in the previous post on laptops, i wanted to own one, right? now, i AM a certified compaq-laptop-owner. Heh, bought it at Low Yat Plaza for the price of rm2400. Well, for the specs, it’s quite good. I got the Compaq Presario F700 with 2.0Ghz AMD Turion X2 64 processor, 2gb RAM, 512 Nvidea GeForce 7000 series and a whole bunch of other hardware. But, the best thing is , i got a total of 11 FREE STUFF from the seller. Haha. Pretty happy bout that.Overall, i’m in love with the laptop and i’m VERY HAPPY with the purchase.
Other than that, my dad got a SUBARU IMPREZA !! Eventhough it’s not new, but still, it’s an IMPREZA!! The condition of the car is SUPER FINE and the look of the car is AWESOME!! I’m totally in love with that car, with it’s speed and super cool blow off sound
. Too afraid to drive it REALLY fast thou. ( By REALLY Fast i mean 240kmph :P)

How To Choose A Laptop
Written by GnomeFan on April 14, 2008 – 10:15 pm -I’m thinking of buying a laptop this Saturday, since I’ve been wanting to own one for SO LONG. Not only I WANT to own one, i think that it would really help me with my study, since almost ALL of the reports and assignment needed to typed out.
Well, in this tech-based post, i want to share with you guys out there tips on how to choose the perfect laptop for you.
1. Figure out what you want to do with the laptop - If you’re using your laptop just to type, doing assignments, work, reports and surfing the net, it’s best if you opt for a lower specification for a laptop, since higher specification(processor speed,RAM) will cause you much more money.
2. Select a price range - Laptops nowadays are priced from RM1500 to RM10,000. So, before you decide to go to a laptop seller, pick out a price range that suits you.
3. Go to the shop - Try out the laptop first, take your time, feel the keyboard, look at the screen, feel the casing. Doing so, will make you more confident for buying THAT laptop. It’s no use if you REGRET buying it later.
4. Specifications - Nowadays, people buy laptops not just for their portability, but also their specs. The hardware inside the laptop is what makes it differ from other laptops. Choose what is suitable for you (like i said before).
5. Connectivity - Don’t buy the laptop if it doesn’t have bluetooth, WiFi(802.11g/b/a), and also USB ports. Why would you own a laptop that doesn’t have this ‘basic’ features? It’s a waste of money if you buy this kind of laptop. Nowadays, almost EVERY digital hardware connects through USB and Fire wire ports.
6. Haggle - Lastly, try to haggle with the seller. Try to get as much things you can out of your purchase. Most sellers now give free mouse, free traveling bag and sometimes even free UPGRADE. Don’t worry, they wont get mad at you if you push too hard.
Well, happy hunting for a laptop!! And i will post my laptop later!! :p
