What a catchy title eh? If that really happened, I’m sure, my blog will reach it bandwith’s limit and I’ll be broke paying for the extra bandwith. Haha. Here’s the actual story;

Yesterday, around 11 am, I boringly channel surfed through ASTRO and was attracted on what topic The Oprah Winfrey Show is discussing, which was “Online Scam”. To my amusement, many people from the US fell for this stupid scams such as the Nigerian Scam, Transfer Money Scam, Orphan scams and such. They literally give away almost every single dollar  they have stupidly and without research to …..UNKNOWN people! I was shocked to find out how much money they ‘forfeited’ to such scams, from mere 8K to the sum of 80K. Woah.

Ok ok, let’s cut it short. I watched and ‘learned’ some tips of the trade for these scammers, from the experts that Oprah invited on the show. Then, later that night, to my surprise I received SCAM MAIL too! Not one but TWO!! haha. I was like WTF and laughed so hard reading the email. Not that I haven’t received such email before but this time,it’s like a coincidence. The morning time, watching Oprah Show and the night time, receiving such email that was ‘exposed’ in the show!

For those out there that received similar emails, IGNORE it and report it to such spam-report-sites that accept reports on such emails.

Wow. After a few years of being an Internet user, i can now officially call myself a fully functional GEEK!! I gained that title because, i now own my own domain!! My page,blog and domain is now www.gnomefan.net . OFFICIALLY OWNED!! miahahahaha (evil laugh).

I will try and remain this domain (even though i don’t think that anyone wants my domain),heh. I am happy that i now own my own domain and run my own blog. Now i only go by MY RULE!!(and also Malaysian rules..heh)

Okay.. As a kick-start to my new domain and blog, i want to share with you guys something that is quite interesting and meaningful to me. Last week (Friday), me and my AGAMA classmates go to Dusun Eco Resort in Bentong,Pahang for a motivational talk with orphans that we organized. It was a agama class project that we need to organize our self. All the organizing,planning and fund raising are all up to us, after all, it’s almost like an assignment. The motivational talk or ‘event’ went on for 1 day only. We went there on Friday evening and came back Saturday evening. There were many activities that was done there. We created many activities so that we, the students can get close with the orphans and teach them information on Muslim subjects and such. It was almost an emotional ride for me. Since, i gone through tiredness,happiness,and sadness. Almost like my soul is a little bit purified. Heh. After listening to the motivational talks given by my ustaz, it touched me and really made me think. Hmm.

Other than the programs that we did there, the camp, Dusun Eco Resort, is a really,really nice place. The camp is quite big and surrounded by Malaysia’s lushes forest. This means that the air there is fresher,cleaner, and colder than the air in cities. That was a refreshing experience. I never felt more relaxed being there. And oh, don’t even get me started on the water that they use there. The whole camp used water from natural sources,meaning water from the mountains. The water is clean, cold and so REFRESHING!! I looked forward to bathing every time because of the water alone!!
