5 Simple Ways To Attract Traffic to Your Site
Written by GnomeFan on May 3, 2008 – 12:11 pm -Having a website that generate steady income is appealing to everyone ( me included :P). But people out there that is attracted by this idea is sometimes careless to think that they ONLY have to design attractive websites and leave it there and visitors will somehow magically come. Well,it doesn’t work that way.
You HAVE to promote your site in order for people to come visit and read your blog/website’s content. I’ve read some article all over the internet and i narrow it down to 5 simple steps that you guys out there with traffic problem can follow.
5 SIMPLE STEPS TO GENERATE TRAFFIC TO YOUR SITE.
1.There are services out there that provide cheap advertising and can confirm traffic to your site. For example, Google Adwords. This service allows you to create text and link based ads and they advertise your ads through their search engine and also through people that participate in their Google Adsense program. This means that, you are marketing your website GLOBALLY and not just at a single website, which means this will bring a lot more traffic than just advertising on a single website.
2. Write articles. (Like i’m doing right now). This can help increase your website’s traffic tremendously. Don’t worry if you don’t write well(like me :P). It’ll become better after much practice. After you finished writing, submit them to several article directory.
3. Join a traffic exchange service. Most of the traffic exchange service nowadays are free, but you can’t just join and sit back and wait for the visitor to roll in. No, sadly, it doesnt work that way. You have to do your fair share of work by ‘paying’ a certain site through the exchange link’s credit system. This way that you can get paid(credit wise) to advertise for them and vice versa.
4.Create a network with other sites. Link to a website that is in the same category as yours and ask the webmaster of the site to do the same. This will not only give you free advertisement but also can increase your site credibility if your site is linked in a popular site.
5. Last but not least, if you just started a company website, don’t forget to put the address on business cards, banners, fliers and pamphlets. This will give your site some traffic and also increase your company’s credibility on the eyes of the people that saw your advertisement.
Hope you guys can benefit from these tips that i give. Would love to hear some feedback!!

Written by GnomeFan on April 25, 2008 – 3:09 pm -
You must think that this is some kind of kid’s “the rabbit and the tortoise” story by reading the title right? well, it’s not. I’m really excited this past week since i got 2 new things to add into my life inventory.Heh
Firstly, i bought a new laptop. As i said in the previous post on laptops, i wanted to own one, right? now, i AM a certified compaq-laptop-owner. Heh, bought it at Low Yat Plaza for the price of rm2400. Well, for the specs, it’s quite good. I got the Compaq Presario F700 with 2.0Ghz AMD Turion X2 64 processor, 2gb RAM, 512 Nvidea GeForce 7000 series and a whole bunch of other hardware. But, the best thing is , i got a total of 11 FREE STUFF from the seller. Haha. Pretty happy bout that.Overall, i’m in love with the laptop and i’m VERY HAPPY with the purchase.
Other than that, my dad got a SUBARU IMPREZA !! Eventhough it’s not new, but still, it’s an IMPREZA!! The condition of the car is SUPER FINE and the look of the car is AWESOME!! I’m totally in love with that car, with it’s speed and super cool blow off sound
. Too afraid to drive it REALLY fast thou. ( By REALLY Fast i mean 240kmph :P)

How To Choose A Laptop
Written by GnomeFan on April 14, 2008 – 10:15 pm -I’m thinking of buying a laptop this Saturday, since I’ve been wanting to own one for SO LONG. Not only I WANT to own one, i think that it would really help me with my study, since almost ALL of the reports and assignment needed to typed out.
Well, in this tech-based post, i want to share with you guys out there tips on how to choose the perfect laptop for you.
1. Figure out what you want to do with the laptop - If you’re using your laptop just to type, doing assignments, work, reports and surfing the net, it’s best if you opt for a lower specification for a laptop, since higher specification(processor speed,RAM) will cause you much more money.
2. Select a price range - Laptops nowadays are priced from RM1500 to RM10,000. So, before you decide to go to a laptop seller, pick out a price range that suits you.
3. Go to the shop - Try out the laptop first, take your time, feel the keyboard, look at the screen, feel the casing. Doing so, will make you more confident for buying THAT laptop. It’s no use if you REGRET buying it later.
4. Specifications - Nowadays, people buy laptops not just for their portability, but also their specs. The hardware inside the laptop is what makes it differ from other laptops. Choose what is suitable for you (like i said before).
5. Connectivity - Don’t buy the laptop if it doesn’t have bluetooth, WiFi(802.11g/b/a), and also USB ports. Why would you own a laptop that doesn’t have this ‘basic’ features? It’s a waste of money if you buy this kind of laptop. Nowadays, almost EVERY digital hardware connects through USB and Fire wire ports.
6. Haggle - Lastly, try to haggle with the seller. Try to get as much things you can out of your purchase. Most sellers now give free mouse, free traveling bag and sometimes even free UPGRADE. Don’t worry, they wont get mad at you if you push too hard.
Well, happy hunting for a laptop!! And i will post my laptop later!! :p
